School FAQ

For purposes of financial reports and tax exemption please note that as of February 2, 2007 our EIN number is 20-8512281. Full name of the school is Alef Bet Montessori School Inc. We are a nonprofit charitable organization.

A: We will e-mail the parent body with weather emergency updates.  Parents may send an e-mail to info@alefbetmontessori.org to inquire about closings and delays.

We watch the weather very closely. We follow Montgomery County for the first day of a storm event. After the first day of a storm, we make our own decisions about closures and delays.  We will notify you about closures and delays via email and recorded message on the school’s weather-emergency line.  We will make our announcement as early as possible.

The arrival and dismissal times are as follows.

2022 - 2023

Before Care:

Available beginning at 7:30 a.m. Per Demand

Arrival Times:

Elementary 8:00 am

Primary 8:30 am

Toddler 8:45 am

Dismissal Times:

Elementary and Primary  3:00pm

Toddler dismissal is 2:45 pm. 

Half day for Primary and Toddlers is  12:15 pm.

No half day for Kindergarten program. 

Aftercare Hebrew Program:

Available until 4:00p.m. Mon, Wed., Thurs.

There is no aftercare available on Tues. & Fridays.
