Ensuring a Healthy and Safe Environment

At Alef Bet, the safety and well-being of our students are paramount. We adhere strictly to comprehensive health, safety, and Covid-19 protocols established by our school, in line with guidance from local and state health authorities.

Safety and Security

Safety measures begin at the entry point. We have recently upgraded our security with top of the line security cameras and all classroom exits are equipped with alarms. 

Visitors go through voice and facial recognition and are always accompanied by staff while on the premises. Strict procedures are in place to authorize the release of children only to approved adults. This involves written consent from the child’s parents, and maintaining up-to-date records of authorized individuals.

Maintaining Cleanliness 

To uphold a clean and healthy environment, we require that parents check their child’s temperature each morning before arrival. If your child shows any signs of illness, please keep them at home to prevent the spread of germs. In accordance with our policy, children exhibiting signs of fever, vomiting or diarrhea must be symptom free for at least 24 hours before returning to school. 

Our staff rigorously sanitize and disinfect classrooms and shared areas throughout the day. All cleaning materials are used responsibly and stored securely in locked cabinets, out of children's reach. We emphasize good hygiene practices such as frequent handwashing and proper etiquette for coughing and sneezing.
