We Started Construction

The process of purchasing, renovating, and moving into our new home brings an abundance of promise and opportunity. Last spring we purchased a beautiful property at 6125 Tuckerman Lane, and are converting it into our new school. One of the most exciting aspects of designing and constructing our new school is our ability to build the facility in whatever way we believe it will best suit our students and the Montessori philosophy. We very much look forward to operating in a space designed to foster our Montessori curriculum, learning and community.

Our school sits on a large property with a huge outdoor area in the rear of the building.  Overlooking the backyard is a charming wooden deck, located on the main floor. There is also a fenced outdoor play area and an open green space. Each classroom will be able to walk directly outside to enjoy the outdoors, just like Dr. Montessori aspired to. Our children will be working in the garden, exploring nature and play outside.

We are very excited about the generous blueprint of the building.  We will have spacious classrooms, play areas that are designed for Montessori methods and practice. We will be able to employ our full curricula at ease and with pleasure in a “farm” style home. There will be plenty of natural light from the outdoors and wonderful window view to the outside.

The school’s location is phenomenal. It is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the Rockville JCC, Montgomery Mall, Grosvenor Metro, Rockville Pike, 270, and 495.

We are returning to the residential neighborhood where our school began 11 years ago and we feel we have come back home.  Home is what our students feel when they arrive to school in the morning, while they are aware that they are no longer at home, we want them to feel as if they are entering their second home. We strive to provide our students with the same levels of confidence, love and comfort that they feel at home. We have designed our school with this essential theme of “home” in mind.

We are happy to share the excitement with you and will provide updates on our new home.
