Rosh Hashanah Is Here

Rosh Hashanah Is Here

Are you ready for Rosh Hashana – because we are!  Our students participated in a number of high holiday activities and lessons including:

  • Singing Rosh Hashanah songs
  • Writing cards for the new year
  • Learning about the symbols of the holiday
  • Going over the months and seasons of the year
  • Learning about what traditions we partake in (including what we are doing at shul)
  • Eating apples and honey
  • Touching, learning and listening to the shofar
  • Counting pomegranate seeds …. Did we get to 613? well, that is to be discovered later

One of the main highlights for the students was reading and listening to a story called, Big Sam, a Rosh Hashanah Tale.
